I’ve made these in 2009 for my friends during the economic downturn. I didn’t want to spend too much, so I’d decided to rediscover my long-lost hobby – Crochet.
I hope this post is not too late. Well, for those who’re already into this hobby, I’m sure you’ll have no problem completing this within a day. After all, these are all very small items. Besides, what’s better than giving something made with love & passion.
The three posts Valentine’s Day D.I.Y. Gifts, D.I.Y: Handphone Pouch & Valentine’s Day D.I.Y. Gifts: Part II, were all written in 2009 when I’d just started out blogging with no audience. I hope you’d visit these posts & let me know your thoughts. With this, I wish all lovers a very HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

ReplyDeleteStella, thks for visiting! Will chk u out soon :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift idea!! A beautiful, bright color might make me smile as well as help me find the often elusive phone in my purse :)
ReplyDeleteShirley, I think handmade gifts are special, especially since I'm not a 'crafty' person! (My sister inherited the needlework gene; I play the piano, lol.)
ReplyDeleteI looked over your other posts and appreciated the directions, etc. but it reminded me of the ONE time I tried to crochet. The lady who taught me was LEFT-HANDED (which I didn't realize until I was halfway through the project -- a doily) -- I ended up making it backwards, upsidedown!! (I gave it to my sister, who cherishes it to this day!)
Lovely, thoughtful posts! Happy Valentine's Day!
To me, whether or not the economy is up or down, nothing beats a homemade gift. They are from the heart and show you're willing to put time and effort into it. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteLizzy, simply brilliant! Glad u like it too :)
ReplyDeleteKim, I love crafts from young. Always making stuff as gifts. But how I wish I can play the piano like my mom. She used to have a German teacher.
Hahaha! U're so funny, Kim! Always make me laugh. Happy V-day, dear!
